How can we travel to Vung Tau City / the wedding venue? The nearest international airport to Vung Tau is in Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon), the largest financial center of Viet Nam. You will definitely need to land there first. We will arrange shuttle bus to take you from Saigon to Vung Tau (approx. 3-hour drive) for the wedding, and bring you back on Sunday 10 November 2024. If the designated time does not suit your schedule, you can arrange your transport with Hoa Mai, they're a reliable bus company with the pick up point in District 1, HCMC, and will drop you off at your desired address in Vung Tau. You can also consider to book a private car or take a Grab for your journey. See Travel Guide / Transportation section for more information.

Any dress code for the D-Day?It’s gonna be an outdoor wedding (no AC) so the priority is for you to be comfortable ! Choose the fabrics carefully, get ready to remove the jacket (if any) after the main ceremony. For the color code, please avoid black / white dress, or black suit / shirts, etc. We prefer vibrant colors ! It is a wedding so we appreciate that you keep your natural elegance and avoid shorts pants / sexy bikinis. More info can be found in Our Wedding Plan / Attire section.

Do I need a Visa to travel to Viet Nam?It depends on your nationality ! This website shows the requirements according to your passport. In any case, if you need a Visa from the Vietnamese administration, please start the application at least 01 month before your flight or as soon as possible. More info can be found in Travel Guide / Admin section.

Can I use my SIM card and credit card in Viet Nam?In most cases, yes. But you might face extra fees from your operator or your bank. To avoid bad surprises, the best is to anticipate and to ask your usual service provider in your country. If your phone operator does not cover Viet Nam, you can buy a SIM card at the airport with affordable packages. Most reliable operators are Viettel, Mobifone and Vinaphone. Regarding payment, you will need to use both cash and credit cards. Check in the coming days the policy from your bank for any cash withdrawal or payment in Viet Nam. In case taxes are too huge, other solutions exists: Contactless payment in city center (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Vietnamese e-wallet) Open an account with an online bank (N26, revolut) Exchange USD at the airport or in big cities since Vietnamese Đồng (VND) are not available outside of the country in most cases. Note that a budget of 50 USD / person / day is more than enough to travel comfortably in Viet Nam. → More information here.

I come to Viet Nam for several days / weeks, anything interesting to do?Sorry, but no. Joking! Viet Nam is one the most visited countries so it has a lot to offer 😉 If you only stay a few days in Viet Nam for the wedding, to keep it simple and convenient, it’s better to focus on the South of Viet Nam or on Vung Tau itself. If you have more time, enjoy the Center or the North of Viet Nam which have their own vibes. It’s totally worth the trip ! Because of the traffic / logistic challenges / cultural gap / differences of language, we recommend to look at some travel agencies such as Chom Chom Travel and Amica Travel. Check out the Travel Guide / Sightseeing for more info.
